The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) shared some data on imported manufactured goods into Nigeria from January to September 2020. Discover the figures.
According to the latest data released by NBS, Nigerian citizens imported N9.28 tn (24.42 billion USD) of manufactured goods into Nigeria.
The Nigeria Bureau of Statistics explains that the due to the disruptions of COVID-19(border closure and foreign exchange shortage), the imports of manufactured goods increased considerably in the third quarter of 2020.
In more detail, according to NBS, the manufactured goods imported into the country were valued the following:
- Q1: N2.66tn (7 billion USD)
- Q2: N2.78 tn (7.3 billion USD)
- Q3: N3.83 tn (10.07 billions USD) (+23,47% Year-on-year)
