On the 18th of February, 2016, Dr. Joseph Odumodu concluded his mandate as Director-General/Chief Executive of the Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON).
Dr. Paul Angya, by virtue of his seniority, was temporarily appointed Acting Director-General before the election of a new Director.
Eventually, on the 26th of September, 2016, the Federal Government announced the official appointment of Barrister Osita Anthony Aboloma as new Director-General/Chief Executive of SON, in recognition of his proven track record of accomplishments.
