This programme helps prevent the importation of substandard and counterfeit products, thereby protecting the health and safety of Nigerian consumers.
The CRIA process involves pre-shipment inspection, laboratory analysis, and verification of conformity to Nigerian standards. Only products that meet the required standards receive the CRIA Certificate, which is mandatory for clearance at Nigerian ports.
