Cotecna and Wimpey Laboratories recently hosted a delegation from SON in the UAE. The visit aimed to strengthen the partnerships between Cotecna and SON.
Cotecna was thrilled to welcome esteemed representatives from the Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON) to our UAE facilities.
The delegates include the esteemed Chief of Staff to the Director General, SON - Mr Chukwuemeka Okafor toured Wimpey Laboratories accompanied by the Director, Product Certification Directorate - Engr. Enebi Onucheyo and the National Ports and Borders Coordinator, Mr Sani Muhammed.
This momentous occasion highlighted our unwavering commitment to nurturing strong alliances with key partners like the Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON) aimed at enhancing trade facilitation through SONCAP programme implementation.

The visit highlighted our mutual dedication to compliance and service excellence, as the SON representatives were provided with an insightful tour of Cotecna's UAE offices and Wimpey Laboratories’ cutting-edge facilities in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
Cotecna is approved by SON to issue Product Certificates (PC) and SONCAP Certificates (SC) for regulated SONCAP products exported to Nigeria. As such, this collaborative discussion between SON and Cotecna marked a significant step forward in solidifying a partnership geared towards promoting trade and fostering economic growth.
