Cotecna India had the privilege of hosting esteemed delegates from the Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON) from 26th May to 1st June.
SON delegates visited Cotecna India offices from 26th May to 1st June. The team lead by the Deputy Director – Mr. Stephen Attahiru, arrived at Mumbai where our colleagues Mr. Sumit Singh Director of Agriculture and VOC Business and Ms. Madhura Dalvi, General Manager, VOC received them.
The SON team reviewed our internal audit processes and acknowledged that we are diligently adhering to SON procedures. The team lead appreciated Cotecna’s commitment to prioritizing the application of Nigerian Industrial Standards (NIS) during the certification of SONCAP regulated products and in our operations.
At our Gurugram laboratory - New Delhi, the delegates were warmly received by Dr. Durgesh Sharma, CEO of Cotecna India & Sri Lanka, and Mr. Nalin Singla, Regional Director, CPS. During this visit, the delegation had the opportunity to observe our consumer products testing capabilities. The SONCAP team also engaged in an insightful discussion focused on the workings of the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), along with an overview of other key quality standards followed in India.
The SON delegates; Mr Atahiru Stephen - Deputy Director, PCD, Mr. Sani Mohammed- Assistant. Director, Port & Borders, Mr. Chukwuemeka Okeke- Deputy Chief of Staff to the DG, Dr. John Ifegwu – Special Assistant to DG, Ms ADEROJU, Folasade Oluwaseyi – Special Assistant to DG, were highly satisfied with Cotecna India’s operations within the SONCAP program. The team acknowledged our dedication in conducting all inspection activities in line with the agreed scope.
